I need to start this post off a bit personal.

I'm incredibly sorry. 

I meant to advertise this sooner by weeks, but life has been a bit hectic. My physical health is good, no worries there, but a number of drama things and personal work have kind of distracted my attention. I didn't even know if I was going to try to go for a fifth annual Demon Girl Appreciation Day. 

But a number of you have contacted me about it, told me your plans to do things, and it's kind of giving me a lot of strength back to do so. So yes. This is the call to arms for the DGAD V!

There is one catch, however. 

As you noticed in the sign, there's an extension date for celebration to include the weekend. 

Previous events were fortunate enough to happen on either weekends or other free times, but considering the 4th is a Thursday this year, I don't want people to feel rushed to do anything if they cannot as Thursday tends to be a business day and all for a lot of folks. 

As such, and I hope this is okay, but I wanted to include the weekend. I still consider May 4th the inaugural day and it'll forever be seen as the birth of the day, but as mentioned, I don't want to leave anyone in the dust considering it's dropping on a business day and my lack of promotion for it. 

If you could spread the word and help me make up for lost time, I'd sincerely appreciate it. That's the most I could possibly ask from you all.

- May 4th. All day!

What exactly is Demon Girl Appreciation Day?
- Demon Girl Appreciation Day is a day designed to appreciate lovely lady characters that possess demon-like traits, and more! People tend to think of demons in a narrow-minded manner, but I assure you that they can come in quite a variety of shapes and sizes! Not only that, but they can also have a multitude of personalities and origins as well.

How did this idea come about?
- Back in April of 2013, there was a small discussion between Jcdr and tlwelker on Twitter. They proposed having a Demon Girl Appreciation Day. Whether or not it was a serious consideration, I - TheEnglishGent - wanted to try to make that a reality. As such, I rallied you - the people - underneath a common banner. That banner was that there definitely should be a Demon Girl Appreciation Day!

In the following years, 2013, 2014, and 2015 had quite a great turn out! As such, I’m hoping with the help of others to keep up the tradition for a fourth year in a row! We’ve had tremendous people spreading its word and the like, and I hope to continue to make it grow bigger and better than before!

Why have a Demon Girl Appreciation Day?
- As mentioned previously, there is a large variety of demon girls that exist. That’s what makes them truly fascinating. I believe that there can exist a day where we can appreciate not only demon characters created by either us artists or those in mediums such as anime/manga and more, but the general concept of demon girls as well!

What do we do on Demon Girl Appreciation Day?
- Appreciate demon girls! There is no limit in how you can do this. You can draw your favorite demon girl(s) that you enjoy. They can be demon girls from another artist you enjoy, from a medium that you like (such as anime/manga and more), or you can celebrate by drawing out your own demon girl! Can’t draw? Well then feel free to write about them! Can’t do either? Then you can always leave comments around about how you appreciate demon girls from other artists and the like! You really have no limits in what you can do! I want people to explore various ways to show their love for demon ladies everywhere!

Can half-demons be included, too?
- Why of course! Half-demons can be appreciated, too!

Is there anything else you want us to keep in mind?
- Yes - and that is to have fun! After all, this is supposed to be a day for demon lovers to enjoy. Let your imaginations run wild! I believe we can really make this a special day if everyone got involved!
